Take the way that ARIA provides data to the business and the web site. Now consider the way that information is passed from inputs to outputs by an audio, video or lighting desk. Is it possible that the same centralised approach that all these share can be used to make a presentation tool that also has membership interaction?
Project 'Bach' sets out to explore the conceptual and practical considerations of an approach to internet usage that handles all media through one 'Console'.
The property of light number 23 on my lighting board is that it is controlled as one of a group of lights within "group 12" on my board. I can dim the light by sliding the fader - or by programming a pre-set "Queue" to run when I press button 2.
The property of my display page object "myBox" that I call it's "Background Colour" is altered using the channel called "CSS channel 2". I slide the fader or pre-program the "Queue" in just the same way.
The sequence of events known as a "Presentation" is stored in a "Queue" that is managed using a sequencer. This tool brings together temporal and physical elements that result in a progressive display. There therefore has to be a library of Events, a Library of Object that are affected and a library of how they are affected - and by what 'tool' or language.
