ARIA allows the integration of a web site with the rest of an organisation's operations. By allowing a wide range of information to be recorded into a carefully designed database ARIA makes it possible to write things down once but use that same information in many contexts.

The technical details of web sites leave most people completely cold. Most people say they want a web site in a rather similar way to wanting a car - all the facility but none of the mechanics.

If the organisation has a catalogue or a list of people that they want to represent on their web site then it would be reasonable to expect that a number of pages will be created, listed on the menu and uploaded. If the same list of information is used elsewhere then whichever is the more important will be updated first. Clearly the web site will go out of date overnight.

For small businesses company information is as important as money itself. The loss of a hard disk drive is enough to set a business back by weeks or months and can loose contracts at a stroke. ARIA allows a range of business critical information to be stored and managed on the web server.
